If it is not "ASCII armoured" then it can't be read.

You can examine the mail and the cut&paste version
and see if they differ.  If you see a difference,
let me know what it is!

What they can do is transfer it direct to your account.

(What's going on here is some sort of Windows problem
where the payment is corrupted by something in the
way that Windows cut&pastes.  At least that's as far
as I've been able to track it down;  I've never been
able to track it down because I need to look at the
windows machine as it's doing the armouring and compare
the results...)

[ Well, in this case, because it couldn't read the payment,
then it wouldn't have attempted to deposit it.  So no
update needed. ]
