Trader could be a separate program if someone decides to release it
that way. It currently is part of WebFunds because that was the
easiest: it uses the SOX network protocol and the SOX payment system
to handle the requests and the money. By integrating it we could more
easily re-use the code :-)

It is part of the WebFunds project and hence open-source. Check 
out the website for instructions on how to download the source. 
The license has never actually been finalized but we have been 
leaning towards Mozilla or the Sun SISSL license (which basically 
is a Mozilla license on steroids).

Rachel already mailed what her company intends to do. Anyone can
take the WebFunds code and do something similar.

There is automated settlement built into the SOX payments already,
in that each deposit (incoming) and payment (outgoing) results in
a receipt from the server.
