[Webfunds-devel] 1.4.3 w/ a JIT

1.4.3 does run sucessfully w/ IBM's JDK118 for Linux when using the
JIT.  (I hear that is not the case w/ other JITs.)

Specifically, I've tested:

    "JDK 1.1.8 IBM build l118-19990915 (JIT enabled: jitc)"

which is an alpha release.  (The production release is build
l118-19991013.)

Note that IBM's JDK only supports glibc 2.1 and native threads.
