Unfortunately the favicon.ico format is limited to 16x16 with a fixed 16 colour pallet. Hense the lack of words in the one I suggested. As for what it does, the answer is that it is just fluff. Should an explorer user (recent versions only, and note that I *did* [GASP] at the idea :) bookmark the site, the favicon.ico file will be shown in the bookmark list w/ that entry. -JimC
