She offers three-hour jewellery making lessons at times to suit for just 12 euros, providing the necessary tools and materials, explaining simple techniques, and helping customers to apply their imaginations.

Indre recommends beginners start with the most accessibly priced beads and seashells available in just about every imaginable shape, size and colour. More experienced and skilled jewellery makers can choose from sterling silver components, as well as river pearls, turquoise, coral, amber, quartz and other semi-precious stones. These items can be used in the shop or bought for use at home, along with essential items such as jewellers’ clasps and wires.

Jewellery making with Indre also works brilliantly as a highly creative activity for organised ‘parties’ for adults of all ages and children. Kids love spending time at Do-In’s specially set up work area, creating unique necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings at very accessible prices; young minds are happily absorbed, stimulated and entertained, with the added bonus they go home with something they’ve made themselves.

A one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery which you’ve made yourself is really special, and makes an ideal gift for a friend or family member. If you don’t have the time or desire to make your own, there is always the option at Do-In of acquiring a piece of beautiful jewellery designed and made by someone else.

The Do-In offer doesn’t end there however. There are many other lovely items made by locally based artisans of various nationalities and from other parts of the world, ranging from soaps, cushions, candles and shawls, through to ceramics, glass, paintings, photographs and even furniture.

These are definitely the kinds of purchases which make marvellous gifts - the kind which a friend or loved one will appreciate and which show you’ve really been thinking about them. Even so, the Do-In handicrafts are very affordable; prices begin at just three euros.

A further reason for dropping into Do-In is the fair trade, quality, affordable, 100 per cent cotton clothing for men, women and children. There is a range of colours, plus Indre can arrange for a design or photo to be printed, painted or embroidered onto an item.

Indre also specialises in made-to-measure women’s clothes, stressing she prefers to make the kinds of items customers will want to enjoy on a regular, day-to-day basis rather than fancy party dresses likely to be worn only once and then hung forgotten in the wardrobe. And if you prefer to make your own clothes or sewing is one of your particular interests, Do-In stocks a range of dressmaking fabrics and haberdashery items.
