A collection of outlaw computer technology, harvested from the net. Why would I mirror such dangerous material, and risk a personal threat of lawsuit from corporations or arrest by the FBI, CIA or other government agency? In order to protect my personal freedoms -- and yours. Seems that greed and lust for power -- happily wrapped in the flags of "free enterprise" and "democracy", continue to lie at the root of many political and social evils and ills.

DeCSS: Consumer Politics in the 21st Century A moral/sociological/legal diatribe about the immorality and evil ethics of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the corporations that wish to squish human endevour in the name of the protection of intellectual property.
DeCSS Miscellaneous legal documents, web-page mirrors and source code related to the DVD encryption and playback scandal. Seems to me that the movie industry is a confederacy of dunces, and is unwilling and unable to recognize the absurd situation it has placed itself in. But then, we are all mortal, and what would life be if not decorated by foolish exploits? Indeed, Hollywood should know ... this has all the markings of a made-for-TV movie. cp4break Mirror of some contentious content relating to Internet censorship, copyrights, the GPL, and reverse engineering. Another hot political issue that ultimately bridges back to the issue of the freedom of expression, and the freedom to ignore the expressions of others.
CueCat Mirror of web pages and source code pertaining to the hacking of the CueCat barcode scanner. The CueCat is legally interesting in that it is a cheap trinket give-away that is covered by a shrink-wrap EULA that effectively says 'we give this to you but you don't own it'. It seems to form a new frontier in the concept of leasing/renting, and in lease-holders rights.
